The first grade class has really been enjoying the "I'm Curious" project (see previous blog entry on the details). The only thing that hasn't worked out that well is having them write a comment on their blog to trigger an email to me with a new topic. What has worked out is my taking the time to talk to them individually to find out what they are interested in learning next. They continue to amaze me by their lightning fast response to that question. I try and post at least one educational video on the topic for them. Here are some photos of what "engagement" looks like. They watch the videos intently and then eagerly share what they've learned with each other. This then gets more people interested. I've had a lot of fun looking for videos that I think they'll enjoy.
