Howler Monkey

Howler monkeys live only in the rainforests of the Americas. They can grow to be 22 to 36 inches tall when standing. Their tails are about the same size in length as their bodies.
They got their name because their howl sounds like a strong wind blowing through a tunnel. Howler monkeys live in trees in groups of between 4 and 19 members. They travel from tree to tree in the search of food-walking not jumping. They are most active during the day, sleeping high in rainforest trees at night. Howler monkeys eat only flowers, fruits, and leaves. Male howlers are black and female howlers are brown. Source: the Rainforest Alliance
