The following is a Pulse of the Planet Podcast on mandrills.

Mandrills can be found in the forests of equatorial Africa. They are related to the baboon and are the largest of the monkeys. The male's brightly colored face attracts females. Males are twice as large as females. Males become adults around 9 years old which is when they start fighting for power within the troop. The more testosterone they develop, the more color they have in their face.
Mandrills have long arms and travel on the ground and in trees. Males eat seeds, nuts, fruit, and small animals that they find on the ground. Females find their food in the trees. Small groups of mandrills are called a troops. Larger groups of mandrills are called hordes. The largest documented horde had over 1,200 mandrills. Source: San Diego Zoo: Mandrill
